ARV is a group that has been consolidating itself over the years. Its founder, Augusto Reyes Vargas, belongs to a family with more than 160 years of experience in the tobacco sector. His first venture, De los Reyes Cigars, is also in this industry to which he has dedicated himself from a young age. This company, which began operating in 1995, has managed, in its almost 25 years of history, to make its cigars true ambassadors of Dominican culture and tradition, taking its products to more than sixteen countries and achieving important recognitions as appearing on the famous list “Best of the best” by Robb Report.

After reaping several successes in the premium cigar sector, the family decides to bet on the Free Zones sector eith the inauguration of El Limonal Free Zone in 2004. This industrial park not only houses the facilities of De los Reyes but other local and international companies with more than 3,000 direct employees.

In 2011, given the accumulated experience in tobacco production and international marketing, the family began a new adventure: Swisher Dominicana. In record time, this company managed to become the largest producer of cigars worldwide, with an annual production of three billion cigars and more than three thousand direct employees.

Given the exponential growth that Swisher Dominicana has had in its eight years of experience and its commitment to the highest quality standards, the group found it necessary to create one of the most complete clusters to meet the high demand for materials and processes that the company generates. Thus arises MTP (Manojo Tobacco Process), a tobacco processing company and Insight Pack International, one of the most modern companies in the Caribbean in flexible packaging.

In recent years, ARV has diversified by investing in sectors such as catering and entertainment. They started with Saga Cigar Club in the city of Santiago and then continued with Tee Off Cigar Lounge and Playa Dorada Golf Course in Puerto Plata.

Following its diversification process, in 2019 ARV Investments was created, a company that has opted for new sectors such as tourism and real estate.
